her highest finish is third place in an nawa team event. she placed as high as 13th on the co-angler side of rcl. placed in the money on the mwc circuit and most importantly, juls has excelled on the promotions aspect of the business. yes...she quailifies...

Spoken like a true caveman. What are you jealous? You definately are uninformed. Juls has won money. Juls busts her backside promoting her sponsors and herself. She is an asset to the sport and a credit to female anglers, ne all pro anglers. Also, you do not have to win money to be a "Pro". You have to put in your time in the trenches and fish a circuit, or many tournaments. If in doing so, you get compensation from sponsors you are a pro. A pro is a person who makes some or all of their living from fishing tournies and promotions.

I humbly thank everyone, for your support. It really means the world to me. I'll take all the good luck I can get my hands on!
Just to clarify things a little bit, I am not fishing the PWT, but rather the RCL(pro-angler), MWC, and the Wacker.
I'm moving to another state simply for the reason that, "I can".;-)
I'm going to move closer to all those big piggies in Lake Erie and the Detroit River. You all know how much I like to handline, and what better place to do that than where it was invented?
Thanks for all the kind words. I'll give it my best!

Juls, sorry this is a bit late but congrats! I figured it was only a matter of time before you decided to chase your dream. I have to tell everyone here a little story. This is about the first time I met Juls, well actually the second and first time we met. I was pre-fishing for the NAWA event on Lake Sakakawea when I first met Juls. I was very impressed how much she was into the fishing.
I guess that stuck with me for a long time. The second time
i met up with Juls was on Lake Winnebago. She pulls up in her Ford Pick up with the stickers on it and everything! Again, I thought this gal means business! She fished with myself and my father for the day, and I was equally impressed with knowledge of walleye fishing. Pretty cool stuff to say the least :). So when I read this post of Juls turning her dreams into reality, it didn't surprise me a bit. Good luck with everything and I will see you on the tour. Good fishing and don't forget to shoot the puck. Mike Peluso #999

Hey Juls, I got to see our Hockeyman (Peluso) play in Florida the other night. He is spectacular. Chicago won easily 3-0. I made this sign out of a pillowcase that said "Shoot The Puck Peluso", but was not sitting in spot where he could see it. Only opp to display to him when he was in the penalty box across the ice! (hehe did you see it Mike?) I did not quite understand why you were sent to penalty box 2 times you silly, it all happened so fast! Good game though.
Anyway - I can send you this cool sign to use when you get up to Detroit to see Peluso play there. It folds up to pocket size.

01-18-2002, 10:26 AM
Sheila,
Cool! Send it up here. Wait, I don't have an address yet..lol
I'll let you know when I do have a permanent addy, and you can send it up then. Heck, you might be moving back up there too, so just bring it with you when you come..Maybe catch the game together?? It's on April 10th I think?? When did you say your boy graduates?
Heard Mike got at least one penalty for roughing, but it was the opponant who elbowed Mike first. Didn't know he was a bad boy twice that night. Men! They just can't play nice..hehehe
Just as long as he doesn't lose any teeth, and make that great smile look really stupid, then he can rough-house as much as he wants to. That sport must make his mom crazy I would think. ;-)
Hope to see you soon Sheila! You're missed up this way. You have to give up those Kingfish tournaments, and get back to your roots...Walleye!!!!
We need more women fishing these events don'tcha know!

It will be a little different having to compete against you now Juls.
Good luck and I will see you on the water,

I just wanted to reinforce all of the great things that people have been saying about Julia Davis. She is a great lady, professional, entertaining, and a good promoter as well as a good angler. Lindy is very proud of her and her accomplishments and I look forward to great things from her in the future. Hopefully, this thread will bring additional sponsors to her attention as she embodies everthing that a good pro staff member should be.
Congratulations on your decision Juls and I wish you the best of luck on the RCL this year. It would be awesome to have a woman Champion or Angler of the Year! I'll be rooting for you.
