My father gave me his Lowrance LFP-150(flasher). Has anyone ever used this unit on ice?

Is this the old green box flasher? I have one and have used it. You can shoot through clear ice to check depth. As long as the batteries are fresh you can see a crappie minnow on it while fishing. I have never tried to see just the plain panfish jig and a Eurolarva since I purchased a Clearwater Classic to ice fish with.
