Hey guys or gals just moved into Waukesha CTY in Delafield. Want to get into some ice fishing close to home. Any tips? Pewaukee lake seems to have a bit too much traffic for my taste. Thinking of trying Nagawicka or some of the smaller lakes around. Would love to catch eyes, but would be happy for a few Gills or Perch to pass the time.
Thanks
Lane

Welcome to the area! If you're in Delafield, stop in at Dick Smith's Live Bait and Tackle. They will give you great fishing information/advice.
Becky, Jason, or C.J., are the people you will want to get your information from. They are out fishing more than the others, and can give you the "latest" on the area lakes.

If you haven't been to the shop yet, you can find it in that big Red Barn with the horse and buggy on the side. The "Amish Barn". The baitshop is in the basement of that barn. The barn is located at the intersection of Hwy83 and I94, on the Northwest corner, by the Perkins.
The phone number to the shop is 262-646-2218. If you want to talk to someone just press 5 after the recording starts, otherwise you have to listen to a lengthy message first.

Good luck!

Thanks Juls. Are you the famous Juls I see all over this board? The Amish Barn is only about 2 minutes from my house. I will have to check it out.

I lived on top of the hill on the sw corner of 83/94 back in 1968-69. Was just out of high school and too busy chasing girls to fish(stupid, stupid, stupid). I would move back to WS. in a flash and leave the Hoosier state far behind. We put in a lot of hours down here for eyes with limited success.
