Lund ProV 1775DLX single console.

Just bought a marine radio and antenna the 5225 FLT.
I have the GPS Receiver mounted next to the console, just wondering where to mount the antenna.
But I came up with an idea,to put the gps receiver on the bow and put the antenna where the gps receiver was.
I need your thoughts on this.
Thanks a Bunch

Sounds like a plan. I would guess I would put that gps antenna anywhere it would not be shielded, interfered with or get beat up during fishing manuevers.

I have been running my GPS antenna about a foot away from one of my VHF antennas for the last 4 years. No problem for either of them. Oh, these are elevated as well so the GPS antenna actually sits at a height that is about half way up the 8' VHF stick - which is to say that its situated right in the middle of the radiation pattern. Having said that I do have to admit that I rarely transmit on that radio though - its the backup that simply stays on channel 16 all the time.
