KA WE hitman,
How is Power Pro line for casting jigs/ cranks with an open bail spinning reel? Would it be better to use some sort of casting reel? If so, please give me a recommendation on a reel. I just bought my first two spools (10# & 30#) and am curious to see how they work. Thanks.
Atomic Eye -- "Gone Fission!" or is that "Fish-on?"
The power pro works good on a spinning reel, be sure to use a few feet of backing, or tape the first couple of wraps on the spool. this will stop the line from slipping on the spool itself. as far as a certain type of reel, get the best that you can afford. brands are of little concern, all have good ones and bad ones. remember when using any of the superbraids to use a looser drag than normal. these lines have no or very little stretch, and what will break can very well be your rod. oh, if anybody does have questions, or comments on the power pro, go directly to the company, they do want to know about feedback on their products, good or bad. good luck and good fishin

I've been using it since it first hit the market. Don't have one single complaint. Works great for jigging, casting and trolling. I use the 10 and 20 lb test for jigging and 20 and 30 for casting and trolling. I've converted a lot of my clients to this brand over others after a trip on the water. Glad to see they changed the color of their high vis line now too. Great stuff, you won't be disapointed. Hutch

Power Pro is great for casting jigs/cranks. Tried it out on a Shimano Stadic with 6lb. test. No memory equals no loopy things when you close your bail...YES! Is quieter going through guides than Fireline. My suggestion is not to use an extra fast tip rod right away. It takes a little getting used to but I like it in wind and current especially.
I am not sure when it first hit the market, but i have been using it for musky fishing for 6 years now, and for walleye fishing for 5.it is the best line that i have found so far, and i do try all kinds. good luck and good fishin.
