I fish Saginaw bay and pull exclusively 1/4 -1/2 oz. Hot-n-tots,10# mono, with in-line offshore boards...I use Daiwa 47 LC reels....What would be your reccomendation for the proper trolling rod?...Thanks , Tom.........

TK_551 03-18-2002, 10:01 PM I use pretty much the same set up, except I use the 27's. I use a couple of different rods for trolling with boards. I like the Bass Pro Shops P/K Planer Board/Trolling rod. It is 8"6" and telescopic. I also use the Gander GS Planer Board rod. It is the same length as the BPS but this one is a two piece. The Gander rod is a bit softer as well. I believe the BPS rods are around $50. and the Gander Rod is around $40. Hope this helps. Good Luck! This makes it easy for runnin' and gunnin' or storage for your next trip. Their IM-6 so you have plenty of sensitivity and backbone. I've used them on Saginaw and caught alot of fish except I was using ReefRunners LiL'Rippers try those to they out produced the hot & tots 2 to 1 blue and chrome was the ticket.
