Just wondering if anyone would like to share how all the big fish were caught last week. I believe these fish were taken by trolling, but I would like some specific info. Depth of water, temp. of water, water clarity, wave action, depth of lure, type of lure, type of line, speed of boat, you know, just all the basics of trolling. Thank you! I was supposed to be there fishing too but a so called friend changed plans at the last minute and I once again missed out on the bite of a lifetime.

Here's the rundown that worked well for me. Down Deep Husky Jerks #10 any color. 40 to 60 feet back. 12 pound Sensation Line. Outside boards 200 feet from boat inside boards 150 feet from boat. SOG on GPS 1.4 to 1.8 and sometimes up to 2.0 S Turns helped a bunch. Water temps went from 42 degress the first practice day to over 50 by the end of the tourney. The fish were moving,as can be seen by my fall from grace on day three. Where'd wwhhooooo goooooooo?

I hope this helps ya a little,

The 12 pound sensation is the same diameter as 10 pound XT. The trolling book is based on 10 pound XT so my depths don't change. The bonus is the easy handling characteristics of Sensation. It feels like XL out of the box. It is also a lower stretch than XT. This didn't play a huge role at Erie since we were fishing so shallow, but perhaps it did. I didn't have th problem of not hooking fish that some others had.

Good Luck
