7-9 foot - medium light - moderate action.

Take care

I'm by no means a professional walleye fisherman but I do slip bobber walleyes almost 1/2 the time on the water in the spring. I've been adjusting my technique for years and have settled on a medium action 7' rod. It's long enough to pick up any remaining slack. I also use a good Thill bobber, red Gamagatzu #6 octapus hook, 1/8 oz barrel weight above a 2' leader. The only reason I have a leader is so I can include a swivel 2 feet up from the hook. If your leaching it they have a tendency to really twist your line without the swivel.

A good choice for a slip bobber rod would be a 71/2 -8' med-heavy action rod to help you make a positive hook set. While setting the hook, there is a degree of slack that you have to make up for. Therefore, making a longer "swoop" helps.
Hard to explain on paper but trust me it works.
