good morning. i fish inland lakes in northeast ohio and western pa. most of these lakes are loaded with walleyes, my favorite fish. i was thinking of purchasing a new rig. i am looking at a 14" polar craft with a 72 inch beam. this boat is very deep. what do you think? i need advice on how to set it up. anything of trolling motors. fishfinders, rod holders and the like. i looked at 16 footers, but the weight was much greater. any information would be appreciated. if any additional information is needed, i will provide it. thanks guys and tight lines.......

I have a 2002 14' Polar Craft, a very sea worthy boat. I have a 9.9 Johnson which I push the boat with, it does a fair job but my motor isn't the newest out there. I am thinking of purchasing a new motor and beef it up a little. I also have an18 h.p. merc. in my garage, which i will not part with if they go to the 18h.p. limit on Pymatuning.

thanks fish, how do you have that set up? are you using an electric and if so, stern or bow? looked at a 14 polar at the weigh-in for the last round-up at the state beach. was that yours? i cannot get over how wide and deep they are. i have been told that a new 9.9 4 stroke will push it real nice. what kind of electronics are you using? any info would be helpful. one more question.......S&H marine or pyma boat sales? thanks again...........
