Anyone have any experience with stren coffee colored line. Supposed to be low-visibility. Was curious how it might show in medium clear water or what it might be best for.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-12-00 AT 09:04PM (CST)[p]I assume you're talking about Stren EasyCast coffee color line. Have a friend that uses it on both spinning and casting outfits. Swears by it. Mostly fishes for bass, but also walleye. Its limpness and hardness seems pretty good for jigs, worming, and cranks. Very low memory too.

His main fishing is in relatively off colored rivers and lakes so I'm sure the dark color is not a big problem. Can't say what it would do in crystal clear water, but below about 20' I don't think it would be a problem.

If you're in the Michigan area: A week or so ago, the BPS Outdoor World at Great Lakes Crossing here in Michigan had 300+ yd reel filler packs for $2 each. I picked up a couple at that price to try. Might have it at their other stores too.
