I have decided on buying a Shimmano Sedona spin cast reel. I was thinking about the 1000 or the 2000 series but didn't know which one to buy.

I want to make sure it is big enough but not too big.

I will mainly use it for walleye fishing and will probably be using Fireline with a leader.

The 1000FA series uses 2#, 4# and 6# line. It can accept 110 yards of the 6# line. The 2000FA series uses 6#, 8# and 10# line. It can accept 170 yards of the 6# line.

The 6# Fireline is equivalent to a 4# mono. The 8# Fireline is equivalent to a 5# mono.

The lakes I fish in vary in size from the larger Lake of the Woods size to smaller Wisconsin lake size. The reels come with 2 spools.

I am using a 7' medium light actinn Avid St Croix rod.

Which size reel do you recommend? Any suggestions? Any questions?
Your expertise is appreciated.

Thanks!
