Recently fouled #2/#4 cyclinders, dealer was going to install new fuel rail based on their experience with other Opti's. Merc. does not have any in stock and said they do not know when they will be available. They plan on installing an update kit which sounds like it contains parts for the fuel rail, thermostat, etc.

I have heard that these kits slow the boat down 3-5mph, is this true? Should I wait for the fuel rail only?

I'm sure there are several people who have had these kits installed, what have you noticed, thanks for your comments.
