FYI.
Update on the number of early bird teams signed up in the first four days of registration:
54 in the Central, about 30 fishing the Challenge (4th Tourney)
7 in the newly formed East Division, and 2 for the Challenge.
I'm guessing close to 100 will enter before the Jan. 30 deadline, which could mean a team wanting to fish the Illinois River and Winnebago would have the best chance of getting in by signing up for all three in the Central Division.
I am impressed with the number of early entries and teams fishing the Challenge, along with the interest out East. Those of you out East will like the competition, purses, and exposure now available as the Cabela's bus rolls into town.
With this years new format and money for the top five teams in each Division and the Challenge, last years Team of the Year, Glenn and Carol Chenier, would have won over $33,000, without winning a tournament!!
Fish Hard,
JB
