The Quad cities are on pool 15. I thought I heard that 14 and 15 are open. Pool 15 is very short, so it is quick to lock through to 14 or 16.

I hope you get to fish any pool you can reach and still make a timely return. Pool 15 is one of the smallest pools on the river-about 11 miles long, very industrial and not a lot of fishing. Pool 14 (generally referred to as the Clinton/Albany pool) is easily reachable and adds a lot of fishable water options. Pool 17 (Muscatine pool) also has a lot of water and would give additional options. These 4 pools would have approximately 90 miles of river so the field could spread out a bit. The launch town is listed as Moline but I don't think there are any facilities capable of holding this event. The best facility is the Sunset Park launch in Rock Island. There are good launch facilities in Davenport as well.

I would say that you will be able to fish any pool you want, normally there are no restrictions as far as what pools you can lock out to. this would be a good question for sonny to answer for us.I also diagree with nick iowa , this pool is a very excellnt pool to fish. It may not be very long of a pool , but it can be a very good fisherey.
