While working a boat show this past weekend, I was approached by a small group of fishermen saying they were not going to fish anymore RCL tournaments because of a few minor changes made over the winter. Kathy and I just want to let you know that we don't have any hard feelings so you shouldn't either. Without your support no tournament trail can get bigger and better which is what the RCL's goal is about.To get bigger and better for you the fishermen/women. With that said I hope I don't hear anymore negative comments like the one's this past weekend, heck if I could swing it my entry fee's as a co-angler would have already been sent in. You all have a good season and be safe out there.

hope to see you and kathy somewhere on the trail! hope things are going well for the both of you...the check-ins and weigh-ins won't be the same.

Ebijack, the only thing that's going to be different at weight ins is that you guy's will more than likely be harassed alot less now. I just want to see everything go good on the trails so that in a year or two[when everybody forgets how much I harassed them]I can start fishing with you all. Like I told the guy's at the show, without the anglers support the leagues and tour won't be there for anybody to enjoy. We'll run into all you guy's somewhere out there one of these day's, I just hope all the partners I get don't throw me in the lake just to get even for the last three years. Have a goodun and I'll catch ya later.

I saw 2 changes on the RCL web site. The first was that the day 3 and day 4 weights will be combined for the final 10 at the qualifiers. This may have been changed to give a format that may make a better show for TV. The other is how you qualify for the championship. A top 35 finish is not enough to get into the big show. It is now the top 120 in points, so many from the rcl league, andso many from other sanctioned events.
