When is the 2004 Mille Lacs Wavewacker Tournament?
Should be June 10-11 this year. Info will be out in 2 weeks or so,if I hear the exact dates confirmed I'll post it!

My new boat will be in next week rigged with Wave Wackers. What do you have to do to be in the Tournament. Will they send me info, or do I have to send application. Also what is the entry fee?
In normal years they have had a very large waiting list. These days with the slot and so many other Tournaments they now have openings. The best way to get an invite, which this tournament is is to call the people at Wavewacker and talk with Mike or Bill.
This has always been an a great tournament!

The Wavewacker Invitational is a two person, two day walleye fishing tournament. Entry fee last year was $1100 per team. First place last year was $50000 with payout to the top 30 places. If interested contact the Herricks at (612)825-2323

If the tournament field is filled, there will be 220 teams and they will pay down 40 places, with first place paying $70,000. Only in the last year or two, because of professional circuits schedules and such, has there even been an opportunity for new teams to get in. Participation was closed off in 1996 for any new teams. Only if a team dropped out, could a new team get in, and that was only after a long waiting list. This year, because of the PWT the week before, and the RCL the week after the Wacker, you won't find the high quality field that is normally associated with this tournament. Many of the touring pro's schedules just won't allow for them to fish this event like they use to, which is too bad, since this was the premier team tournament in the country for many years. I DO NOT say this to take away from any of the participants credit, but when you don't see all the tour pro's in there, it is just not the same.
If you can find the time to participate, definitely do so, it is a GREAT tournament. Bill and the 2 Mikes do a wonderful job sponsoring it. They are a true class act!
