DWF (downriver walleye federation) has quite a few club tourney's...$10/head and when we launch out of erie metro park we have a fish fry right after the weigh-in.

saginawbay and lake st clair have clubs also...do a search right here on walleye central or go to the club page.

American Tackle Outfitters in Holland runs a local tournament series in June, July, and August. Championship is in Sept. It is on Lake Macatawa and costs are (I think) $25 per boat plus Big Fish Pot if you decide to get in it. We are always looking for boats. We're a pretty good bunch of guys and last year we had less than 25 boats each tournament so your odds are better than most large tournaments. If you're on the West side of the State, give us some serious consideration. I'll even give you the scoop on the lake. If you can still beat us, you earned it on the water. These tourneys can be won with ALL the different ways to catch walleye. Drifting, trolling, and Jigging have all done it at some time. Cranks, Spoons, and live bait. You can use all your options and whatever is your preferred style.

Eye catcher,

I'd encourage you to check out the West Michigan Walleye Club if you're anywhere near the Grand Rapids area. This is a great club with 6 tourneys each year that are just for fun. In 2002 we'll fish the Detroit River, Houghton Lake, Lake Erie, Saginaw Bay, Lake Macatawa, and Muskegon Lake. If you're interested, check out the club website at www.wmwc.net

I've learned a tremendous amount from the people in this club.

you can pay at the meeting, and get your DWF stickers when you sign up. also if you have a marine radio, make sure you get your call name listed, and get your e-mail etc listed. mike barkley makes call name cards so you know who is who out on the water or if you need help etc.
