I am looking at both of these glasses. Any owners out there? How do you like the lenses? Are they scratch-proof? I am looking at glass lenses. Thanks for any input. Bob

I have owned both and personally didn't care for either brand. The lenses on my Ocean Waves popped out of the frame all the time. I have since bought H2Optics and love them. Very light and comfortable.

I have two pair of costa del mar's. They are good glasses for the money. The lifetime warranty covers the frames only. Don't fold up and place in your shirt pocket this will scratch the $hit out of the lenses. The ends of the ear pieces touch the lenses when folded bad design. If you keep them in the hard case you will be O.K.

Vote # 2 for the Mai Jims. I have 3 pairs. The specialty sunglass shops cant keep them in stock. They are also very difficult to scratch unlike H2 optics and other plastic lens types. There is no equal. Trust a guy who people refer to as " you know, the guy who never takes off his sunglasses".

I have the Costa Del Mar "Deep Blue" and really like them. One thing nice about some of the Costa Del Mars is some models have a spring hinge so they stay on your face. Lifetime warranty and polorized, what else can you ask for. Definitly get the glass lenses. The best price I found was at www.1800800lens.com

The following models are springhinged:

Coral
Islander
MP2
Aegean
Captiva
Coquina
Havana
Islamorada
South Beach
Bonita
Deep Blue
Grand Slam

I owned Costa Del Mar's, Maui Jim's and others. Nothing compares to the Maui Jim's. I just bought the Maui Jim titanium glasses, they're by far the most comfortable glasses I've ever owned and they offer the best polarization technology available.
