I have been brewing bout this since the MWC at Spring Valley. Although most RCL anglers were great, there were also quite a few that came in and crowded us MWC anglers on the final day and actually were blocking us.

We only had 1 minor incident so it was no problem. I talked to others and they really did have problems. I'll tell you what I told them: Open your mouth and tell them to get the ####### out of your way. If you sit and stew in silence, some of the blame is yours.

We were qll told at the rules meeting how to handle any problems with the RCL boats. Christine wanted to know about it the day it happened. She also let us know that she was in contact with Mark and Sonny at the RCL and any issues would be handled. The tourney is long over and your issues were not severe enough to speak up and have them handled at the time or in the directed mannor. It is time to just get over it. Face it, the river was tough, the bite was off, The spots producing were crowded and whining about the RCL boats now is doing nothing positive to promote our sport or fix the problem. I only encountered one boat on the river where the actions of the fishermen boardered unsportmanslike. It had a yellow sticher on the motor with a number quite a bit lower than the number we had. I'm not going to make an issue of it. If I run into it in the future, I'll bring it up through the propper channels. Most of the RCL boats have NPAA numbers and names on the motor and they all have registration numbers on the bow. You could have identified them but you chose not to so stop whining and get over it.

Hey Home Boy, I am one of the RCL guys that rode around and watched for 2 days instead of pre-fishing. I wasted 2 precious days of pre-fishing to stay out of your way. If the schedule is the same next year I will be pre-fishing and I might be right in your way. I paid twice as much money to fish the RCL as you did to fish the MWC. If they can't get their schedules straight I will not compromise my pre-fishing to accomodate you. I have too much invested. If you have a beef it should be with the people doing the scheduling.

RCL Guy,
You can't watch and learn? You wasted 2 days driving around watching where the fish were being caught. Last I checked the MWC has been going to the IL. river for 20 years all around that same time.Blame your events department not ours!Prefishing must have been hard for you to drive up on the boats of guys that have fished these waters for year and let them show you where to fish.
In retrospect I was very impresssed with the guys from the RCL! I watched many of the anglers pull in and watch, even get behind you and follow the paths we took. NEVER fishing just marking and watching! I say good job guys, this was very professional!
Thank You!

Here I sit, not fishing any of the circuits (circus??). Just little old me in my tin boat with my little 150 on it.
Watching the tracers fly back and forth over my head. Some green. Some orange/red. All of them angry.
Used to be they would be all one color. I guess that was one circuit's contestants arguing with and pointing fingers at each other like on Winnebago. Sounds like lots more opportunity with TWO circuits involved simultaneously.
My, that certainly sounds like the way I want to spend a day on the water. Think I will rush to sign up as a co-angler. Or, I could just decide to lower the pain level a bit and go to the dentist instead.

What exactly was going to happen to any RCL boats if MWC boats deemed they were being unsportsmanlike? Seems like a pretty hard to enforce thing? One guy may feel crowded when another boat is jiging 30' away while another boat feels crowded when they are 150' away?
I fish the Trenton channel so i never feel crowded or complain about other boats!
I would guess that anyone complaining now are just looking for a self excuse for their lower than anticipated finish. Legitimate complaints were not instructed to be filed on Walleye Central.
