I'm coming down tomorrow--will start fishing Wed the 14th. Is the water muddy or clear. Last year i think 14 of the top 15 were handlining. I hope your right about jigging--thats our preferred way to fish.

I predict the winning basket will come via either jigging or handlining. I predict that slip bobbering with leaches, or surface casting with Jitterbugs will not be productive. I predict that the winning weight will come from the area between the north tip of Peche Island and the south tip of Celeron - either in US or Canadian waters. Aside from that, I think the team that can boat the largest 10 fish over the two days will have a really decent shot at winning the whole thing.

And he didn't even mention the use of Leon's Walking worm. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

The canadian side is full of mud!! unless there is a south wind in the forcast it will stay that way!! I have been watch the handliners for the last couple of days and they are not boating anything except small jacks!!

What Tom said, but also including: Not a lot of luck with Jointed Believers in the prop wash, tube jigs, magnum spoons off of the dipseys and fish catchers and flies on a double core of lead off of big boards. If the wind will not stop blowing, we may all end up in Toledo for the weigh-in

Hey Cpt Paul:
Due to inclement weather/river conditions they have moved the weigh-in to Bolles Harbor. See you and Tom down there on Saturday @ 3:00.
