Did talk to my bud, Trap - a contestant in this contest - and last he knew 9 pounds was leading. Trap didn't fair to well as he spun the prop on the way to his best spot. To bad. :-(
Said his partner was Shep, who frequents this board, and that they were forced to fish his second spot, as the first was to far to go with the kicker. They managed only one legal walleye out of 40 fish caught.

The Bug
Wow, that was Trap? hehehe He intro'd hisself as Gerry! Half way up the lake, the boat just slowed. Motor ran, but no go. Didn't feel like we hit anything, and we were in 10 feet or so. It was a slow kicker ride to the secondary spot, but we made it, and caught lots of 14"ers. Had a fun time, and the weather was beautiful. Current was nonexistant, and that really affected the bite from the slot fish. I did manage to find a 15.5" weigh fish, so we are both on the board. We were actually leading the tourney for a while. A very short while. I was the first to weigh a fish. So, we were in the lead, right up to the point the second bag of fish hit the scales!!
Trap, hope that all it was is the hub. See you at GB! And thanks to Craig Lemieux for the ride back to weigh in.
