Keep an eye on the leaderboard for Sat/Sun MWC out of Henderson NY on Lake Ontario. The bite is hot right now and with favoribale weather conditions expect to see lots of double digit fish! The bag limit is 3 fish per angler, if they are weighing 5 fish you could see multiple boats weighing at or near 50#.

This tournament is going to let the cat out of the bag regarding one of the best BIG walleye fisheries in the Great Lakes. It is an underfished area that yearly produces some true "sumo piggies".
Speaking of "sumo piggies"
where in heck has BackWater Eddy gone to?
I say more Power to em Good luck to everyone fishing the East side of the MWC....

Man oh man was this fun today. The only problem was it was over way too soon. We had a GREAT crowd of local that showed up to watch the weigh in and cheer on the teams, we were just done too quickly!
This is an awesome fishery.

My biggest verified (15.2 lbs) was a Lake Ontario fish. I fish it 3 nights a week from shore and always nail a few nice fish. We've seen them up to 18 pounds and saw a pic of a 20 pounder from LAke Ontario. Doesn't have the numbers of Erie, but certianly has more size.
Maybe I am not seeing the same as y'all-but I didn't see too many walleye that were caught. I guess 4 was the limit for the tourney, as only 1 boat did it twice. Congratulations to the team-what did they do different to bag a limit twice? My son and I are supposed to be going up there Thursday forthcoming, and wouldn't mind some advice. Again, congratultions to those who worked hard for their fish, and better luck next time to those who worked hard but were not rewarded by the fish-gods.

Hey bud, had a conversation with the winner (Bob Hollingsworth) and he told me they were one short of the limit (being 5).
Also, the bite during his pre-fishing was slow, and said he didn't talk to anyone that had a "hot bite". His catch for 5 days of pre-fishing was four fish - one being an 11+. So it's not many but what does bite is huge.
But anyway, Bob told me he looked for warmer water and fished Renoskys in the top 10 feet of the water column. If you go, it sounds like this is a real chance for a monster trophy fish if you have some patience.
one article that I read said that they ran 1.5 mph and ran their boards out somthing like 200 + feet out from the sides of the boat. also put a piece of crawler on the rear treble.
good luck
