Texas Walleye Association Classic Tournament

We would like to invite all interested anglers to join us at Lake Meredith for the TWA Classic on Saturday and Sunday, June 26-27. Each day will be treated as a separate tournament so every team has two chances to do well! There will be $750 of add on money each day which means with registration money added in.....first place each day should pay at least $1,200. Although Meredith is at record lows the fishing has been really hot with much larger size average fish than we have seen in many years. We are not sure why this is the case except that the improved genetics from adding over 3/4 million of Colorado strain walleye several years ago to the existing strain of Spirit Lake walleye maybe showing up along with the forage base being more contained. Whatever,the fishing has been excellent! A free hamburger fry for all contestants and their families will be served at the pre-tournament meeting at Lake Meredith Marina on Friday, June 25 at 7:00 PM. Registration cost for the Classic is $200 a team and the optional big fish pot is $20. Please,contact us for more info. It looks like Meredith will be on the rise during the tournament. Heavy rains are "finally" beginning to hit the watershed.....may it continue!

My brother Bob and I were going to make the trip this weekend. However on the way back from NTC we blew out the windshield in my boat in Omaha. New windshield won't be put on until next week. Good luck to all.

Glad to see you boys made it back safe!! It was sure a pleasure visting with you and Bob @ the NTC, hopefully we'll be able to hook up somewhere down the road for some fishing or hunting!! MONTANA.

Bob was looking forward to going down there and checking out the lake. He's never been there and like me enjoys fishing lakes he's never been to before. We'll hook it up again although it may not be this year.

That may be a possibility. We were really looking forward to fishing the TWA Championship. But since that is out of the question we may be able to make it. I'll see what I can do.
