I know there are a lot of walleye guys that visit this site who are from Eastern Ohio and western NY and PA. I would like to invite you to the Ohio GNWC championship on July 10 and 11 at Mosquito Lake. We will be going out of the Causeway boat ramp. I'd like to invite you to drop by and watch the weigh-in and say hi. We are also having a get-together at the Gander Mountain store in Warren, Ohio on Saturday evening the 10th. We will have a boat in the parking lot for a free seminar with some free hot dogs and soda pop for any anglers who would like to drop by. Some of our sponsors will be there, and it's a chance to rub shoulders with the anglers who are fishing the GNWC Ohio state championship this year.

For those of you who are considering fishing the GNWC, this would be a great chance to get a feel for it. We are adding an eastern division in 2005 which will include four stops in Western PA and western NY, plus a regional championship. If you are thinking about getting involved in a great entry level circuit, swing by that weekend and say hi and see if how we do it fits you. I'm always interested in meeting the people from Walleye Central.

I don't know how far you plan on coming into NY but two great walleye lakes are in the Finger Lakes region.Honeoye lake is a good bite most of the open water season (ice too) and Conesus Lake has an outstanding early season bite. Both lakes are at most 1.5 hours east of Buffalo. I'd be happy to provide more info if necessary.
