New vs Old Storm thundersticks

Anyone who used both the discontinued and new Storm thundersticks has any comments on these in terms of effectiveness and price?

Well, that is sort of a sore subject with a few here I know including myself. The biggest thing is that the colors are not what the old ones used to be and I feel the old design outperforms the new design 2 to 1. That is not scientific of course but I have pulled the similiar colors side by side one old and one new and clearly the old design outperformed the new one. I no longer will buy the new ones but have been using the Thundercranks...different look but they do work well.

I agree with Fishingdog, there is absolutely no comparing the two. I have yet to catch a walleye on these new lures with the hotrod stripes and cartoon colors, while the older Tsticks still work for walleyes and are like gold at the lake I fish at. I compared them side by side and the new ones are actually a higher profile, a bit beefier and thicker toward the lure head than the older ones. They also don't have as tight a wobble when worked slowly as the old ones do. I'd say try and get the old ones for as long as they are still out there.

As far as the Hot and Tots go, I'm not sure but I've seen on these boards that most folks prefer the old ones.
