Does anyone know what the payout will be for the Detroit tournament is it going to be like all the others and 25,000 for first place

It all depends on the field size, I think.

If we have 150 teams first place will pay around 25K. I think they will go as high as 220 teams, maybe 10% more. In that case the payouts will increase incrementally. Check the MWC message boards, plenty of discussion there on this subject. I can't wait for April!!

Hope Floats is a pretty good handle for a tournament fisherman though.

We are expecting this tournament to get to 150 boats -- similar in size to last year's Saginaw Bay tournament. First place there was $20,000 -- paying down 26 places in a 150 boat field. Smallest payout is always entry fee back -- $600 or so.

We're only at 60 right now -- so you guys better get those entries in. Late fees are added to entries rec'd within 30 days of the tournament date. That means entries have to be rec'd up to Saturday of Spring Valley without a late fee.

I don't think this field will get to 200 or 220 boats. Just my read on it...

My Calendar says I would have up to Wednesday March 23rd (which is after Spring Valley) to decide on weather to fish Detroit without a late fee. This day would be 30 days before. Am I missing something?

You're right. For Detroit River:

March 23 -- 31 days in advance -- no late fee
March 24 - April 9 -- $40 late fee
April 10 - April 16 -- $100 late fee
April 17 - April 22 -- $500 late fee
