okay i'm going but haven't heard a thing from Cabela's...sent our application in by the 28th of february ...actually about two hours after i received it in the mail and it's been a month and haven't heard a thing....i made reservations for a week in dubuque hoping it would be close to the festivities. i'm also looking for a fishing guide in the dubuque area that is good on the river and can spend a day or two....anybody know anything or anybody????

Have you sent your entry money in? Due in by the end of March if your circuit isn't paying it up front for you. Check with your circuit director, they are usually the go between with Cabela's staff and should be able to provide you with details or get you the info you need. Google Dubuque fishing guides and you will come up with some options or buy a map and spend some time figuring it out like the others. Good luck, have fun in D.

Ken, Are you fishing the Cabela's event? Does the local club still send teams?

Ken is a good source of information for anyone looking, he's one of those ol'dubuque walleye clubbers. He has given me information over the years that really will "speed up your learning curve" around Dubuque. It is great that he is willing to share. Talk him or any of the clubbers into a day in the boat and you'll be ahead of the game.
