What do you guys have in your "favorites" section of the tackle box when casting for walleyes?

Shallow water, Husky Jerks, sixteenth ounce jig with live bait, drop shotting with live bait.

Deeper water, Rapala RS raps, Walleye Divers.

I like lires that are a little heavier than the balsa wood baits for cutting the wind and making longer casts. The further you can stay away from the fish, the better.

Good luck!!

My favorite lure for casting would be a #7 deep diving shad rap.

Newguy,
While drifting I like to cast a WalleyeWiz Weapon. They are sold at Edgewater Bait and Tackle and Gander Mountain in Toledo .Gander has the better price at 1.49 each. And yes they are named after me.

For casting jigs I like to use a high quality 1/8 0z. black mushroom head jig matched with a top secret brand of a 4" smoke twister that has a great action at ultra slow speed. For a shallow crank I like the suspending #12 Husky Jerk and the shallow suspending Rogue. K.I.S.S.

WAeyes, would those secret twisters be Kalins? Just curious...

Cranks:
1) #11 and #13 floating rapala for 1-3 foot of water.
2) Silver/black thunderstick for 3-7 feet of water or #5 shad rap.
3) Shad Rap #8 for 8-10 feet of water.

Jigs
1) 1/8 oz w/ grub, color varies
2) 1/8 to 1/4 oz lipstick jig w/ half a crawler

Live bait
1) Whatever will catch their interest, but love throwing those crawlers with no weight or a small split (3/0) and let them drift dwon when the walters are in shallow.

Nope, but they do make good ones.
