Why wouldn't they? Great location, great fishery, shame on you and anyone else with the time and resources for not fishing it.

As long as we are asking why....

Why are you so afraid or ashamed of your opinion that you hide behind your computer?

Scott, these guys make a good selling point for registration here.

The "average fish" caught by the tournament competititors went 7.6 pounds!! That's right, OVER seven and a half pounds. I consider my home waters to be Lake Erie yet I was very impressed by the the quality of the walleye in the eastern end of Lake Ontario. Toolman and I are looking forward to going back next year. I'm also looking forward to watching the TV show.

I asked a simple question. Since I got sarcastic venom filled answer, I did some research on MWC past tournaments. The MWC tournaments in the past that were held on Lake Erie and now the Lake Ontario, and are poorly supported by the vast majority of MWC anglers that reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. That is fact and it doesn't mattter if the walleye ware the size of Jonah's whale. The guys fishing Spring Valley will NOT drive to Lake Erie or Lake Ontario unless God gives guarantees of five 10 pounders in 10 minutes or less.

Not true. When you consider the time it takes for us flatlanders to get out there, plus the price of gas and other expenses, it's easy not to go. We fish the central division. It would be great to see the eastern division take off and get participation like the central. I think it'll happen with TV coverage and pictures of those big fish. The MWC is a class act and is working hard to build interest in the east. They deserve your support.

Being on the Pro side for a few years its usually scheduling thats the conflict, myself backing off the Pro circuits this year to build up vacation time for future years I have entered with a partner on the Dunkirk tourney. Its held on the weekend following PWT eastern tourney, so the roster will come from other anglers in other divisions and hard core MWC, I suggest this one to others, it will be a great bite, weather permitting. Its competition just like any other circuit.

I have to second Dale's statements-just in the opposite direction. I live in the east and time/gas/MONEY constraints prohibit me from fishing in the Central Division of the MWC. Having just fished Henderson, I am very impressed with the people and the MWC setup. Not to say anything bad about the size of the fish and the area...
BTW-the show last night was very well done-even Pete and Fred couldn't detract from the show!!!!

Gee, thanks Walt LOL

I agree that the show was excellent. It was alot better than I expected. Even with Fred and me. I had almost forgotten how big those fish were. The 6 fish Fred and I weighed in averaged over 9# each.

The MWC is definitely a class act. I am proud to be associated with them. I would love to fish all 6 tournaments next year but I'm sure my partner couldn't make it.It does take alot of time, gas, and money

I'm looking forward to another great tournament at Dunkirk.

Hollywoodeyes loved the MWC on the Outdoor Channel! I never laughed so hard seeing Charlie Brant with that afro wig. Eyedoktr,Gilligan and the rest of the boys did a great job!!! MWC is a class act as far as this humble angler can see and I and my angling partner Mighty Mike plan on participating next year. They pulled some nice hawg eyes and it was an entertaining show to boot. Kudos to all involved!!!
If only the good doktr and gilligan could pull some fish on the zoo!
Watch out next year boys! There is gonna be a new sheriff in town and his name is Grissly Gary!

Gilligan,

As you know I am a man that negotiates everyday for a living. You share your Henderson Harbor secrets with me and I will share the secrets of the Zoo with you and the Good Doktr! DEAL???
You and the Doktr were great on the MWC OUTDOOR CHANNEL show! One of the most fun fishing shows i've watched.
You two have got to come to Jamestown NY. and be guests on my radio show.

Gary (hollywoodeyes), Gilligan and I just might be interested in doing a radio show with you. Let us know the particulars.

As far as info exchange........hmmm, gotta give that some thought. :-) We can probably work something out.

I really hope you and Mike jump into the MWC next year. It is a class act run by outstanding people. Why don't you try one out this year? There is one on Erie the weekend after the KAWA tourney. You'll already have all your spots to fish.

Hope some more of you guys jump in then maybe the 40 boat fields can get to 100 so it's more on par with the real tournament world. It is sick to see so many East guys in the Championship that I have to fight so hard to get in! Even if I win one of the 220 boat events I'm still not a shoe in.

I just don't understand why all these Ohio fishermen who fish Erie all of the time won't make the short drive to Dunkirk, NY to fish this event. Heck if we could even get one out of every five that fish the western basin, it would be a great field.

C'MON all you Erie guys, let's get the MWC East going

Truth be known Pete, is that Ohio has a hard time filling even small stakes tourneys let alone big stakes ones. There aren't that many that compete on a regular basis and the ones that do aren't sponsored well enough to afford another circuit. There may be other reasons but I don't know what they are. Maybe someone can fill us both in.

The MWC is doing a great job getting teams here so far and as time goes by it should keep getting better.

The East will only get maybe 5 teams to the Championship. The rest will be cross over teams from the central. The same thing happened last year. The East anglers should feel sick. You could win 2 of 3 tournaments and not make it to the Championship. You would really feel sick after that. Next year you should cross over to the East. 2 of the 3 tournaments will be in MI. Good Luck
