I have used trilene xl green mono for most jigging applications over the years and have been pleased up until last year when I encountered several bad batches that seemed to break easily. My question is what line do you prefer for jigging applications primarily over a snag-free sand bottom in 6-30 feet of water? Thanks for the replies.

The mono lines I find best for jigging? Berkley's Sensation, or Stren's Sencor. As their name suggest, both have work well for feelin' light bites.

I have found a line called P-Line in mist green that is very sensitive and strong. Low stretch and memory in the 6# class, this is my favorite for jigging shallow water.

I REALLY like Damyl Tectan from Cabela's - thin - strong - & NEVER got a "bad" batch.

Count me as another Tectan fan. I'll use it for depths up to 20-25' feet. Deeper than that, and it's Fireline.

Give the Trilene XT Solar Green a try. (6 #) I have never tried the XL Green. The XT Solar is low strech, more limp than the XT Green. Good stuff in my book.
