To all the fishermen and fisherwomen, you will have to check out the "NEW" Lures, that will be hitting the market by March of this year. Renosky Lures is comming out with a Deep diver series in both their current sizes. To add to this, they are also going to have a New color series call " FireGlow". This series is awsume. It glows up to 2-4 hrs. The combinations of the deep divers, and FireGlow, will be a big hit.
I have the new colors and they are Great. The actual color glows, instead of just seeing a white glow. I mean, if it is Chartuse, it glows chartuse, if it is orange, it glows orange. They are neat. Renosky Lures, were new to me, until I got to Dunkirk, Where, I thought I could catch fish on my old standby's for Lake Erie. Not the case, I only caught 1 fish in 3 days on my old standby's, the rest came on those Renosky Lures. So, as we fishermen say, I'm hooked, and now Renosky Lure's is making them in a deep diver series.
I don't know what their website is, but they have a toll free telephone # 1-800-342-2803. Check them out.

Yes, they do have a website it is www.renosky.com
I'd second your opinion on these lures, as I have had good luck with them on Lake Francis Case in South Dakota.

I'll Second that, if they come out with a deep diver, they will have the "best out there. These are fish catching lures, and the deep diver will only make it better for us fishermen. Thank You Renosky, for making a great product better.

And to think I just promised my wife no more Renoskys this year after buying 60 of them last year!
The Dunkirk bite has always been a meat bite for me until last year when this lure turned on and 95% of my fish came off them.
The website dosen't show much or do justice to the lure, call for the catalog.

They are a stickbait. Had been just shallow runners until this year. The deep divers and new colors aren't there, actually they don't show much at all so give them a call and get the catalog.
My best producers last year were the rainbow, purple/pink, wonderbread, perch and the 2 different blue colors.

Hi Gary,
They made glow in the 4 1/2" 3/8 model before. It is a great Lure for Salmon when they are coming in the rivers and bays. The blue and silver is good for Salmon and for Walleyes in the fall off the piers.

Here would be a chance for you's to tell Renosky Lure Co. what you would like to see on their website. Give them a call, let Joe Renosky know, what you would like to see on there. 1-800-342-2803. I just went there, and I agree, they need to update their website. I'm sure once they have their new deep divers and FireGlow in place, they will do an update, but let them know.

It must be contract renewal time. You don't hear boo from the pros for months and suddenly they're here peddling new baits all over the place!

I didn't notice that he mentioned he had them as a sponsor. Why don't you ask him before you accuse him of simply "hawking" products.

No, these lures played a very big part in me winning the PWT Angler Of the Year, and Top Gun for 2001. Gilligan, can contest to that, he fished 2 days with me, and seen that they were the lure of choice.
It wasn't for a lack of other lures, because at last count, I probably excede 12-13 thousand crank baits, which most are storm thundersticks, and rattl'n Rouges, along with shad Raps, just to mention a few.
No, I was just passing on some knew info for you guys. And if you would check the board regularaly, you would see I frequent it on a regular basis, to include doing chats from time to time. So sorry, if you think this was for another nature of things.

I'm curious also.. who are you? Just passing through or just afraid to say who you really are?
Quite an assumption on your part don't you think? Have you ever fished a Renosky? Do you even know what one looks like? If Gary was here plugging lures he dosen't fish or beleive in I would agree with you but I know for fact how this lure produces from fishing it myself for 2 years as well as what it produced for him on Erie in 2001.
When Gary came to Dunkirk, the last stop of the PWT with the race for angler of the year neck to neck with Cheif Papineau and Pete Harsh do you think he would fish any other bait than what he felt confident would win the angler of the year for him? He won that pulling Renoskys, the same lure used by most all sucessful fisherman on these waters. Excellent colors, awesome action at about half the price of many of your popular lures.
By the way... those Chautauqua Lake muskie can't resist them either!

You stated that perfectly Gilligan. He used what he needed to use to pull fish. That's how these guys make their name. They can't risk "hawking" lures that don't catch fish. They wouldn't endorse something they didn't use and know about. In this case he is doing a public service announcement but even if he was sponsorred by Renosky, it's not like he was here telling a blatant lie. The proof was on the scales and you're his witness. They worked and now they have come out with an expanded line-up. Thank you for the heads up, Gary. I'll watch for these at the Shows and tackle shops this spring.

I too will plug the RENOSKY'S. They put a lot of fish in the boat for me. Regaurdless if I'm in the central basin trolling, handling on the Mississippi or ILL. river or casting the shallows of a lake in MN. at night. A great finish and action on this stick baits. Thanks for the heads up Gary. Bet your money I'll be calling tomorrow for my new catalog. Hutch

Gary,
Thank's for the tip on the Renosky's. If they were good enough for you to win the PWT angler of the year, they are worth a try in my book. I don't care if they are your sponsor or not. It's pro's like you that will freely share information with the rest of us that makes this board what it is. 12-13 thousand crankbaits, man I thought I had alot.
Take care and good fishing,
Bob M

I called Renosky Lures this morning, they said the 4 1/2" bait in the deep diver, is being sent to painting as we speak. They figured the small deep diver would be done, and ready for production next month, or early March for sure.
Can't wait to get them, they sound great, and if they catch fish like their shallow divers, they will be a Big Hit.
Thanks Gary for the Tip.

Does anyone know if Cabela's or Gander Mt. carries these lures? If not, does anyone know where I can obtain these lures out here. I live in the Jamestown area of ND. Any info would be appreciated.
Thank You in advance,

When I was at Dunkirk, I could not believe that one lure could dominate a body of water, like those lures did. Gilligan had told me about them prior to getting to Dunkirk, and then I could not believe what I was seeing. Even Mike McClelland said he has never seen one lure dominate the water like the Renosky's.

ND Wolf,
I was at Cabela's in Owatanna this afternoon and couldn't find any of these lures there. I haven't had a chance to check their catalog yet though. I guess we will have to send for Renosky's catalog.
Take care and good fishing,

What sizes does Renosky Lures offer in their shallow running stickbaits? Also, which size do you prefer for trolling during pre-summer, summer-peak, and summer periods?
thanks

The best store in our area (NY) to find them is Dicks Sporting Goods. Not all Dicks carry them though :-( Here is a link to their site where you can check to see if they have a store in your area.

The size I am fishing are the 4 1/2". Our Lake Erie (East Basin Barcelona/Dunkirk) bite is pretty much just a summer bite however I do use them on Chautauqua Lake in the spring and fall. Besides the walleye they take a fair share of muskie, lakers and steelhead.

Gilligan, Thank's for the plug for Dick's. I work at the store in Akron, OH and I have the shallow divers. From what you all say about this new one, I hope our buyers are getting a bucket full.

I wounder if Frank's at Saginaw Bay, carries these lures. If anyone around, knows of different stores that carries these lures, please post it, so we can check them out.
I would thing the larger stores should carry these, but if they are new, it might take some time. It also sounds like this lure has been a best kept secret for the Eastern Basin of Lake Erie.
I called for a catalog, but maybe Renosky needs to have a dealer list available.
I was told by Renosky, that TEW'S in Oshkosh has them, and that Bayshore Bait & Tackle at Little Bay de Noc has them in stock.
If anyone finds other locations, please list them for all of us.
Catch-um-all,
