To all Anglers that are planning to fish the GLWC Fall Shoot-out at Cranberry Creek Marina in Huron, OH on Oct. 15 & 16. I have decided to allow the larger boats (22' and up) that may have a problem getting in or out of Cranberry Creek Marina, due to low water conditions, to moor at the Huron Basin and come into the Huron River. They will meet us at the blast-off site in the AM, but will enter the River at the time that the tournamnet ends (3:00PM). They will check in with our people and then motor their catch to the weigh-in. Partners will be flip-flopped so that one partner is with another boat so that there will be no stopping along the way. I hope this helps you anglers with the larger boats. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime. Yours in Fishing, Bo

For clearification, when you say "motor their catch to the weigh-in", do you mean by car or truck? Just trying to short stop confusion.

Sounds like a good plan Bo...I don't see a problem with that.

Hi Jim, By car or truck, it makes no matter. And for all who may be wondering about the flip flop of partners. We will take you and Steve, and couple you with say Chip Cartwright and maybe Ron Levitan, assuming they are partners, and you will go with Chip, and Ron would go with Steve to the weigh-in with your catches. That way, I'm sure this would stop any controversy as far as anyone saying someone stopped along the way. How does that sound? Alot of things will change for next year as far as the full circuit is concerned, but for this Shoot-out, I think this is a viable anti-dote. All your comments are welcome. Cheers, Bo

Bo,
The partner switch thing I thought was clear, but you never actually said bringing fish to the weighin by car or truck was OK. I knew your intent, but clearity = more teams, less confusion & less chance for upset participants.
I hope it all goes smoothly, that would be the best thing that could happen, for bigger numbers next year. Denny Braun, Marc Hudson, and Danny Gies would all be of great assistance, if they have time. Jim McConville (area Lowrance Rep.) is a entertaining MC (if you're looking).
Best of luck.

Hi ETT, I have already spoke with Denny and I thought that Marc would be in the tourny. The other gentleman, I do not know and would be happy to meet him. We can always use a good helping hand. By the way, to Jim Stedke, Jim, we are in contact with your potential sponsors, thanks again. See you all in Huron, Cheers, Bo

Bo, it sounds like you've got things well under control. Good luck with the tourney and next year's series.

I wish I could fish this one but no partner and a bit of a way to travel.

contestants should contact U.S. coast guard on channel 16 and tournament headquarters for assistance.
8. Safety:
Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each contestant is required to wear a USCG approved chest-type life
preserver anytime the main combustion engine is running above a trolling speed. The preserver must be fastened
securely and the safety-stop tether cord must be in good working condition. Safety switches shall be in good

minutes late will be immediately disqualified for the day’s weight. You are to have your number
and be in the harbor by 3 p.m. or you are considered late. This means 3 p.m. Sharp, not 3:00 and

SJ, Thanks for running the entry form. Two changes to that form though. As I have stated in earlier posts on this board. I hate late fees. They benefit no one. I am waiving them. In this event, you can sign up until Thursday night Oct. 13, at 8:00 PM at Cranberry Creek Marina. I will be there for late sign ups. If you are not in by then, you cannot enter. The new flyers that are being mailed out this week, will indicate this. So, no late fees after Oct. and no one can enter after the 13th of Oct. at 8 PM. Thanks alot everybody for all the great support so far. Yours in fishing, Bo
