I was watching the FLW live weigh-in and I thought it was awesome. Definitely the future!
I experienced a few glitches but once I figured out that all other windows needed to be closed it worked great.
I also loved seeing the fish in water when they were on stage and being weighed. I’m sure that the survival rate will be much higher.
The FLW just raised the bar with the coverage they provided.

Wait until you see the film production. Al Linder was there directing and we got to see the Bull Shoals film. Wow. They did a real good job. Gave me goose bumps watching it wishing I was there,
I got to talk to Al a little last night. He has put a lot of time into producing the FLW series. I think everyone will be amazed. It really promotes the fishermen and tactics used.

I too watched it Via my computer, very nice to see it LIVE. Food for discussion though.....Is Mark Dorn the best MC to have up there? That statement should cause some nice controversy.
Don't get me wrong, Mark is a great guy with a ton of tourney managment experience, but I've got to admit, he's not the most lively and entertaining guy in the world. The MC at the PWT championship (not sure his name)did a fairly nice job, and captivated me with his exciting attitude, not to mention the music they played between anglers arriving on stage gave it a hockey arena, hyped up, atmosphere. The guy at the PWT championship sure gave Kalkofen a run too.
Any thoughts on this? After you see a "Fish Fishburn" doing BASS, it makes me think they need to step it up a notch in their MC's.

"This stament should start some nice controversy." If you are looking to start a post for dissing Mark Dorn I don't think you will have much luck. Mark is very well respected. The FLW has more experienced emcees who are currently elsewhere. I thought Mark did a great job and kept your attention really well. IMHO Fish Fishburn does a great job but he is a little much at times.

I agree, Mark Dorn did a fine job, as always.
I'm sure we will see Charlie Evans MC'ing the top ten tomorrow and Saturday.
I wasn't at the PWT, but I'm going to guess that was Jim O'Rourk (sp?), and I will agree there too, that Jim is one of the best in the business.

That, the right name. O'Rourk.
Your both right....Mark is very well respectect and does a fine job up there, but to me it seemed to be lacking for a Championship...that's all. I like Mark alot...and didn't mean any disrespect. He'll always be respected in this industry.

Live weigh-in over the 'Net is sweet!!! This is how more major tourneys should be shown. Sure there's a couple glitches here and there, I think the internet hiccuped today or something. But overall this is a great thing, coming from a computer guy. (full time fisherman at heart)

It was a great show from my computer screen. It was a great chance for those not so fortunate fisherman to get a little air time for their sponsors too. This could be a very good marketing tool for those quick enough to get their props in. Are these going to be archived as well? Go Groony, Dan Palmer

Is a dial up connection capable of handling this feed or is high speed necessary? thanks, RJ

I'd say that you can listen to it but no video if you have a dial up.
