I just listened to the show. Carl and Sonny gave good interviews. Very positive, nicely done and very proffesional. Groony was pretty humble and honest.

i listened to the broadcast and have to say that Pete, Dave, Carl and Sonny all did a great job on "clearing the air". I was very happy to hear the details on what happened. In a nutshell, Carl was very humbled by a mistake he made trying to maximize fishing time near the lock. Each day there was a quick decision made as to where the anglers would fish quickly as they were waiting for the locks.
Carl made a quick swing of the boat across a wing dam and hit the structure of the wing dam as he thought he was circling around the inside of an angler setting down to troll. At the time, Carl was unaware that the wing dam was there. The problem was escalated as Carl's own reaction to the incident may have been taken out of context on the water. Regardless of the hair splitting details, I for one was very pleased with the radio show clarification. Carl was forthcoming and accepted full responsibility, Sonny was very gracious in how he explained things and Pete and Dave had a "HOT" topic for the show! It worked out well for everyone. Good job in your finish at the Championship Carl and as Carl was first to point out during the Radio Show - Now the focus needs to remain on Mr. Lampmans First Place Finish. Way to go Champ!

....and Carl had 2 observers, a camera crew I believe, in the boat with him. So if he was intentional and malicious, which he was not, he would not have been so with a film crew!

Makes me wonder why the protest was upheld given the wittnesses, and being obviously un-intentional? Oh well...so it goes. It was a good comeback inspite of it.
