Just bought a Frabill Solo portable and assembled it.

When I pull the tent over me though ... there is at least 3 to 4 inches of opening ... between the ice and the bottom of the tent ... in front where the wind can blow under.

Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

Seems this isn't very wind proof?????

Check to see if you have too much of the rear of the tarp tucked into the seam where it attaches to the sled in the back of the shack.

Another thing to check is the pin settings on the main hinge's, they may be set too short?

If everything still looks ok then the tarp may just need to relax and stretch slightly under its own wait after it has been used a few times out in the sun.

This may help too.

I have the Tri-Plex and it did the same thing when I first set up on the ice. After a few times of use and sun it went all the way down. Think they just need a little wear and tear.

Thanks fellas.

Backwater Eddy .. what do you mean by the pins being too short on the main hinge. I am not sure I understand.

Thanks again.

If you mistakenly assembled it improperly you could have the hinge out of whack.

A possibility especially if you put stuff together like I do. Read the directions only as a last resort! LOL!!!

:)

The fabric just needs to relax is the most likely thing.

this can solve quite a few of the flip over fish house draft problems:buy several feet of plastic coated chain and sew it into the fabric around the edge and the weight of the chain will help keep the edge from flipping up in the wind
