Lowrance sponsored Pro Team Walleye Circuit announces sponsors.

Casper, WY- The Lowrance sponsored Pro Team Walleye Circuit is proud to announce its new and exciting sponsors for the 2006 season. We start off with the circuit title sponsor Lowrance Electronics. Lowrance has been the title sponsor for the last two years, and will be again this year. The support that Lowrance has given us is the only reason we have a circuit today. Lowrance not only gives to the circuit but also sends a tech support team to each tournament to help the anglers out if they have any trouble with their electronics. “Doug and the gang do a great job teaching the anglers about all the new Fish finders, GPS, and each piece of equipment with the Lowrance name on it. They will even teach them about the new IWays car units they have come out with lately. The anglers welcome the support, “says Billy Brenton Tournament Director”

Division Titles.
Grand River Casino & Resort, and Four Bears Casino & Lodge will each sponsor one division. Both casinos will host a tournament this season and will provide meals for our rules meeting, added purse money, (shoot out awards) and offer discounted rooms to the anglers. Teams will be awarded points based on their finishes in the two qualifying tournaments. We will pay the top three teams per division, and the top team per division will win $1000 cash, a no entry fee into the 2006 championship, division title plaques, and coats for a total of over $3500. Teams that finish in the top forty per division will be invited to fish in the championship.

Team of the Year.
Mercury Motors has stepped up and taken the Team of the Year title for the season. “Mercury has always supported the walleye angler, and it is an honor to have them aboard.” Brenton adds. Teams will be awarded points based on their best three out of four finishes. The team that fishes at least three tournaments and finishes with the most points at the end of the season, will win the Mercury Team of the Year award ($4000 cash, a no entry fee into the 2006 championship, no entry fees for the 2007 season, plaques, and coats for a total of over $10,000 cash and prizes). We will be awarding cash and prizes to the top ten teams at the end of the season.

Tournament Titles.
We start off the season in Chamberlain South Dakota on Lake Francis Case, April 12th, 13th, and 14th for the “FoodSource Lures NO LIVE BAIT CHALLENGE”. FoodSource Lures sponsored this event last season. FoodSource Lures is the only lures made of 100% real food, and they have designed some new walleye baits that are going to be hard to beat this year at all the tournaments.

Our next stop is in Ortonville, Minnesota on Big Stone Lake May 17th, 18th, 19th for the “Minn- Kota/DeeZee Open”. Minn Kota co-sponsored a tournament last season and will again support the anglers this year. Minn Kota is sponsoring this tournament, along with one of our new sponsors DeeZee the quality truck accessory people. It’s important to get some support from companies outside the fishing industry like DeeZee. “DeeZee has been supporting walleye anglers for some time and we welcome them aboard,” says Brenton. Teams that place in the top twenty at the MinnKota/DeeZee Open will be invited to fish in the championship.

Next, we move on to Mobridge South Dakota on Lake Oahe June 7th, 8th, and 9th for the “Yar-Craft Boats Challenge”. This tournament will be a big one for teams trying to win the Team of the Year title or the divisions’ titles as it is in both divisions. Yar-Craft Boats has come out with some new models and we are going to help show the anglers in the West that are running glass boats why they need to look at a Yar-Craft Boats for their next purchase.

The last stop for qualifying tournaments will be in New Town, North Dakota on Lake Sakakawea June 28th, 29th, 30th for the “GatorHyde Summer slam”. GatorHyde is a protective spray on polyurea coating that can be applied to the boats, trailers, and truck beds. This is a great product to apply to your boat trailer to protect it from rock chips, and rust. If you own a body shop or are a marine dealership this is must product to add to your revenue.

Championship.
The big finally will be held at Devil’s Lake, North Dakota Aug/Sep 29th, and 30,1st for the “Princecraft Boats Championship”. The teams that qualify for the championship will be shooting it out for the guaranteed top prize of $50,000 in cash. Princecraft Boats came out with a new tournament boat last season with introduction of the Super Pro198. “All of the anglers can see the changes on the 2006 model at all of the tournaments, as I will be out on the water checking boats with one again this year,” says Brenton.

Big Fish Award:
At each tournament we will give the team that catches the biggest fish in the first two days an all paid Pheasant hunt at Pheasant City Lodge, in South Dakota ($3000 value). Brenton says, “This is an awesome vacation after a long tournament season, and the hunt is unbelievable…trust me. I went there this last winter to make sure it was something the anglers would enjoy, I definitely was NOT disappointed.
