any more rumors? have to plan vactions!
Here it is Feb 3 still haven't herd anything from Cabela's as to where or for that matter when the 2006 ntc will be held sure would like to start making plans has anybody herd any new news if so please post.

Hope the people in PIERRE don't give in to the black mail of Cabela's. If that does happen. Every tourney, pwt., flw ect,ect,will go to the highest bidder, no matter what.

Cabela's this ain't good pardon my french I really don't care where the ntc is going to be held I plan to go wherever but please at least give me a date so as I can schedule my vacation thay's all I ask. "Thank You"

Walleye anglers (as a group) must be about the unhappiest group of people on the planet...
It was mid to late February last year when they announced. If memory serves, that is when they announced in 2004 as well. My bet is that is when they will announce this year. While I recognize most everyone that qualified will want to fish it, the simply matter of the fact is that if you can't adjust your schedule to meet with theirs, you wont' be able to fish it.
Just in case anyone from Cabelas is reading this, I would be pleased as punch to get invited to your tournament with a days notice as to where and when. PLEASE recognize that while there are a few people that can not help but complain about this, the vast majority of us appreciate what you are doing. Oh, and thanks for the great deal on the glass shad raps...

I also appreciate what Cabelas is doing but it gets a little frustrating when you talk to people at Cabelas and they tell you a date and then it changes. Some of us have to work for a living (need to put in for vacation time) and are doing this on a shoestring budget. The only complaints on this post or the last one is about a date. People have lives other than fishing and can't always drop everything at the last minute to travel to fish a tournament. And yeah, the glass shad raps were a great deal.

What's amazing to me is there are other circuts, PWT,FLW,Lowrance and more, that have a complete 5-8 tourney circut allready planned out before Jan. And, these guys can't even get one tournament scheduled.

heres a deal.........if you can't wait till mid Feb. for the announcement like it has been in the past and are having that much of a problem whether it's "shoestring budget" or vacation....DON"T QUALIFY for it. You all know what it takes to get this done and the expense of it. RELAX!!!
Their's alot of others out there that would love to fish it, and have worked hard to try and qualify but did'nt make it. Just be patient.

I think it's a honer to qualify. It's my first year. It might be a once in a life time thing. It would suck to not be able to go because you are not able to get time off for work. Because your vaction picks have to be in long before now. Cabela's should also have their dates out long before now so all the qualiying series can pick date around it.

MAYBE THEY SHOULD LOOK INTO HIRING A PROMOTION COMPANY LIKE THEY DO FOR THERE CATFISH CHAMPIONSHIP. THE PEOPLE THAT RUN IT HAVE THE DATE AND PLACE SET THREE YEARS OUT.

All you guys do is complain and wine, when it is a tournament for you the weekend warrior. If Cabela's Can't make you happy get a new hobby. You act like they do nothing for you, other than provide a format where an ameteur can win big money and prizes. Get a new hobby if all you can do is wine.
In response to the post by walleyepres whoever you are us weekend warrior as you call us are not as fortinate as the pro's ect. that have sponsor's to pay them to go fish we have to make time to enjoy the sport which means we have to work for a living and unfortianly if we want to keep our job we have to ask for time off and only hope we can get it. So please dont call us complainer's for trying to get a date from Cabela's so that we can start making arrangement to attend, if the tournament is going to be held in SD I will be looking at two day's driving each way plus the pre fishing for a total of at least 7 work days off plus weekend's.
