I think someone recently posted a neat system for using gunnel cleats for rodholders. Can someone please direct me to it? It'd be great to use spare gunnel cleats instead of making holes in my new Lund 1675 ProSport. Thank you.

You're probably talking about the In-A-Snap rod holders that are sold right here on the products page.
This might be the post you are referring to:

Brian,
You're right, and you're sharp. Thanks for being so helpful.
It's the In-A-Snap rod holders that are advertised under "Products." They seem like a really good deal. Can I get some reports from anyone who has used them, or was this previously posted? Can they swivel horizontally in addition to having vertical angle adjustment?
They look very slick, don't cost a lot, and would save drilling holes in the Lund ProSport I'm be getting this spring.

No replies needed. Got a lot of 1-year old information from an archive search on "In-A-Snap.". The archive feature is really neat!!

The IN-A-SNAP Rod holders are a neat item. They are designed to fit a 4 1/2" Attwood rope cleat. I'm not sure about your model of Lund, but may not fit your existing cleat. Attwood cleats are available at most stores and can replace your Lund cleat. They have a verticle adjustment only. I have them modified for a Ranger boat cleat and run them in conjunction with my other 4 rod holders giving alot of versitility.
They were working on an adapter for Lunds, I just haven't spoken to the factory in about a year.
They are a neat idea and worth the chips.

I filed mine a little to get them to fit in the Lund cleat. They work fine.
