WRWA and WBSA Announce Migration Open Walleye Event

The Western Reserve Walleye Association (WRWA) and the Western Basin Sportfishing Association (WBSA) today announced the “Migration Open” walleye tournament slated for July 8th out of Geneva State Park on Lake Erie. The clubs are happy to be able to come to agreement to work together on this event and are hoping to make it one of the largest open tournaments to ever be held east of Cleveland. This event was set up to coincide with the annual walleye migration from the western basin of Lake Erie to the central basin. At this time of year the weather and the fishing should both be excellent.

The event will be modeled off the popular 2 man team structure that both clubs utilize for their regular walleye series. Complete rules, details and registration forms can be found at www.wbsa.us and www.thewrwa.com Online registration is available through the WBSA site. One interesting addition for this tournament that is different than what both clubs would normally do is an additional big fish pot for the largest Steelhead brought to the scales.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available and the websites are updated.
