Anyone out there fishing the Lowrance Pro Team tourney at Big Stone May 17-18-19? Hope to see a bunch of boats. Things are way ahead of schedule in Minnesota this year. Ice went off most lakes about two weeks earlier than normal and the weather has been absolutely wonderful ever since. Temps for the most part have been upper 60's to 80 degrees the past two weeks and if the weather holds up, we should see the kind of bite that anglers dream about. Typically, the ice is just going off the lakes now and the crappies are starting at this time of year. With the warm weather the crappies on a lot of lakes in west-central Minnesota have moved into the shallow black bottom bays and back out into the lake already on some of the lakes. Look for the walleye bite to be really good come mid-May. To sign up for the Pro Team event at Big Stone go to westernwalleye.com
