Weather conditions played a role in the third WWA Illinois Division Tournament on the Fox Chain on Sunday. Rain and wind made it quite nasty but all the teams toughed it out to the last second. The team of Pat Siebert and Dove Limke took first place with four fish weighing it at 4.93 pounds. They trolled crank baits, pitched jigs, and cast floating baits to boat their fish. Second Place went to the team of Jim McDonald and Tom Springborn with three fish weighing in at 4.35 pounds. They also took big fish honors with a fish that tipped the scales at 2.06 pounds. They were trolling crank baits North on the Fox River. Third Place went to Larry VanHoorelbeke and Ted Beskow with three fish weighing 4.28 pounds. They pitched jigs and used live bait rigs to boat their fish. Congratulations to the top finishers and to all the teams for sticking it out it tough weather conditions!

Was wondering if you have the new address for the WWA. Was told by Steve over the weekend that some of us are going to the old website and not getting any information. Looked everywhere I could and didn't find a new site. Can you point me in the right direction? And there where 22 boats for the Sunday tournament on the chain. A few that didn't sign for this one are waiting for the open when the weather should be a heck of a lot better. (we hope)

Wal-nut, thanks for sharing the number of boats at the tournament with the poster who asked. As far as the web site, I went to www.worldwalleye.com and the new site came up. The site is still under construction as far as changing info goes. The right hand side will have the 2006 tournaments listed and on the left hand side links will be to 2006 Division Circuits and to 2006 Results. The news links, meet the Directors, etc. are in the process of being changed. The center information (Stories, results, pictures, etc.) still contains the old stuff from last year but will be changed shortly. It appears some computers are still hooking to the "old" site (has Yamaha in the upper left corner). If the site you get doesn't have that you are on the new site that is being revamped. Hope this helps.

Well, there you go. I was one of those that was hooking to the old site, none the wiser. I'll let some of the others know also. You have to put it in right or you go to the old site. Thanks, Theresa
