I can't speak for all that were there but I had a great time. It was nice to put faces to the names that we see on this board. The food was good. The fishing was so so. I think that Pitts and his son had good fishing when they came over by my house out of the Mry Mar. Caught a lot of nice fish but had to release due to the slot size. Thanks to all who came.

Yup, all of us in our group had a great time. Great to meet new folks, and put names and faces together. A great big thanks to Pits for putting this one together. I hope we can have someone put something together for the summer months and do some soft water fishing.

It was great to meet you and some of the rest of the WC'ers on Friday. I sure wish I would have stuck around for the fun. I ended up coming home on Sat. evening as there was almost no current going down at Red Wing. The gates were almost shut and the fish were no where to be found. We managed a dozen fish between 3 of us and watched about 100 other boats catch little to nothing. Fished way south of town all the way up to the dam. Had I left my Otter and gear in the back of my truck I would of hooked up with you guys on Sat. evening. Once again, I out-thought myself. I second the soft water thing. I think a June mud flats trip is in order.

Thanks Guys we had a great time and yes we did catch 3 more fish above the slot on the north end up on the rocks the last night it was fun being kept awake by the rattles all night. We also had 3 fish on that were real heavy that did not get landed 1 broke line and the other 2 got off at the hole.
The weather was nice and the food was great (awesome beans TBO:) )
One thing I must mention is that no ice is safe ice and this year is proving very challenging for the resorts on the lake to keep access open for vehicles, so a thanks to all of them for there hard work.
Thanks to all the people that showed I won't attempt to name every one.

Wanted to let you know we had a great time on saturday meeting all you guys! BFJ you have left a lasting impression on Caroline (dont worry, she's sticking with me tho:) ) Thanks to Pitts and TBO for some great grub on the ice, those beans were killer! Didn't get skunked and it was a great day to be on the ice and share the day with some new friends! Good luck to all the rest of the ice season and would definitly be game for an open water get-together.

It was nice meeting everyone and a great day to be out fishing. Thanks to Pitts and the others who helped organize it. A definite thumbs up on the beans TBO. I would also be interested in an open water get together on Mille Lacs. It's a lot easier to find the fish on the soft water.

Did you guys get anything in the evening back at Eddy's? Working shallow, all I got were small perch.

Opie got a Pout and he and BFJ a couple of perch I think, we didnt put another fish on the ice. Saw several small schools of perch go thru on the camera but they just would not bite, a couple looked decent sized. Pulled the plug about 6:15 and hit the restaraunt for some food/drink. Xplorer

Hey Jimmer, had a discussion with the boss(wife) about a new boat. She says that a wheel would really be nice, with a kicker, 20 footer (2025 Pro V.), nice trailer with brakes, duely. I told her, yes, it would really be nice..........but she could still fish with me once in a while in my TILLER LUND!!!! hahahahahahahah:7 :7 :7

The tradition keeps 'agoin! I relinquished the largest walleye title from last year, and am now working the opposite end of the spectrum with the lunker 5" eye that came in on Saturday!

Thanks to Pitts and TBO for some great grub!

Gary and I went back out Sunday morning to the north end of Eddy's houses, near where we, jbob, and the Explorers were Saturday morning. No eyes, but we did get into some fast and furious perch action for about 20 minutes just before heading out at 1:30.

Thanks again to everyone that came up, over, or down. Nice to put old names with new faces. Heck, I had such a good time I came home yesterday and got engaged!! Talk about a perfect weekend!

Opps, did not see this topic and started another one. I will reprint here:

Hey, that was a blast, guys!

I want to thank TBO and Pitts for their excellent preparation and service. It was great chow and better camaraderie. We had fun and I think everyone else did as well. Breakfast at Eddies was great. All were a little wide eyed except those that had spent the night before…what did you guys do last night????

I can say that Pitts is a WILD man! He was the eager one that propelled us to new spots. Though the ice was thick, I and serious doubts about the quality, so Pitts ran in front of the rigs for about 1.5 miles drilling holes all the way to “the spot”. You are my hero…Seriously, Rob was very nervous and you made that trip much better. Once set up we enjoyed seeing Pitts do wheelies with his ATV and begin filling holes with enough electronics to fill the showroom of a small sporting goods store. Pitts’ son was on top of all these electronics and was a real pleasure to fish with. He had all the holes set up so dad could sit back and relax. “Where’s my beer, what did you do to my depthfinder?” <j/k…grin> Pitts pulled a nice 19" eye from that spot while watching it on the CatchCam. THAT was too cool! I want one….

Fishing was slow, to say the least, but my partner, Rob, hauled a 20" walleye up and Xplorer's wife pulled up a beauty northern while she handled the lines solo. Xplorer was partying with the boys! hehe.... good luck on the baby, bud!

After lunch the group disbanded and some went north, while we went south. We found perch, but no more eyes. Though our trip was a short one, we had fun and extend a hardy thanks to all those that hid me from the DNR planes that were obviously in search of the guy who stirred up the mud ..... ;-)

TBO those beans were great, but man, our ride home was quite fragrant. Had a surprise birthday party waiting when I returned home so this truly was a spectacular day. Dave, thanks for the gift. I will cherish them for years to come. :-)

Best regards to everyone. It was a class act with great people. How did you all do the rest of the weekend?? Where do I send my pictures? They are digital and can be e-mailed.

Thanks, Guys

It must have been the beans - left me a little light headed and confussed!!

She doesn't fish, but is anxious to try. Heck, it's one more line out on a board!

TBO, What are you going to do with your pics? Are you sending them in to a web page for Scott?

I threw mine at the bottom for all to see but can also shoot them over to you if you want. Let me know.

Sorry we missed most of the Walleye Central crew. We came off the lake a little after noon and sawa a group in the bay but didn't know it was WC. I tried calling on channel 80 but no answer. Finally I called Eddy's and they told me some guys were fishing a little bit south of where we were. We drove down the ice and found Aquaman and his buddy. Hope everybody had a good time, it sounds like it.
