There was alot of talk that the 12.66lb walleye cought by Pat Cavins and Carl Grunwaldlt on Sunday in the Sheboygan Walleye Clubs "battle on the bay" is the biggest walleye ever cought in a green bay competition? Is there anyone that can verfy that no single fish bigger then 12.66 has been cought in a green bay tourny?

Hey Jason, I did some checking and the closest I have found so far was the 2000 MWC Oconto, WI. event Mike Gibson caught a 12.34 piggy. I checked FLW (RCL),PWT,MWC, & Midwest Walleye series. You would think there has been a bigger Walleye caught than the 12.66lb'er on Green Bay during a tourney that would have big fish recorded.

Pat, congrats to you and Carl. Even if not a record, it's one heck of a fish. I'll bet you guys together are a ball to be with in the boat, not to mention a pretty good team.
Hopefully my partner and I can put a few that size in the box at the MWC in Saginaw in a couple of weeks.

The FLW has never done "big fish" awards, so there would be no record of the biggest fish caught during a tournament. There might be mention of big fish weights in the daily press releases, but that would take a lot of homework for someone to go over all those daily's. ;)

The RCL did big fish payouts the first year they existed. The first Championship on Green Bay. Then they stopped. Pat
Pete get ahold of me for some spots to check out on Saginaw.
