Just wanted to voice a few opinions that arent worth more than two cents.
PWT
1)offer incentives for Brunswick owners.
2)Allow top ten of regional series a chance to qualify for super pro.
Regionals would fill instantly. Bottom 10 of super pro lose qualification status unless previous pwt champ or win in last 3 years.
3)Get rid of prizes for am's. I know this was supposed to keep co's honest but we all know you can't change a tigers stipes. regardless of what segment of society you survey cops teachers clerks- 10% will be potential cheats.
4)Offer a bigger purse for pro's. There should be more "career" pro's.
FLW
1)Fish more tourney's.
possiblities-pick 3 per division
Central Div.- Bull Shoals, Devils, Miss. River, Green Bay, Escanaba, Missouri River reservoirs, etc.
Eastern- Spring Valley, Detroit, Port Clinton, Dunkirk, Cleveland, Saginaw Bay, Salte St. Marie, (any other sites with Wal-marts?)
Top 60 in each div. make it to champ. + top 10 boaters in each league.
Championship rotates from Cent. to East. locals.
2)Allow other sponsors to be seen on T.V. Pro's can't gain multiple big sponsors readily because the companies know they have 0% chance at any T.V. or magazine exposure.
3)Involve Al Linder more.
4)Keep progressing in T.V coverage.
These are my thoughts you don't have to agree but please, NO BASHING.

make fishing like NASCAR, fish on teams like is done anyway or fish as an independent "white car". If your good enough get selected by sponsors who want to wrap your boat, motor, and eventually advertise on the TP you use, just because your that good and you use toilet paper. Or get the "call" to an established team by the owner of the team.

If you don't like to go it alone in the big show (w/o team) cut your teeth on local circuits and get recruited by an established team in the "big leagues" who already has all the sponsors lined up and can pay a "pro" fisherman a salary + bonus.

As far as TV, we all know wrecks sell, maybe that place they recently had the PWT championship wasn't such a bad run afterall...could of made for good TV! Pile up on sand bar 4, turn 2....

Fishing on large tours, is not about the fishermen. It's about the sponsors that pay for the people who make the tours possible. Until there is some great interest in walleye fishing, this will not change. The people that fish already know this. Some get the press and other just hope to survive. The tours can't payoutwhat they cant get. If you want all the spotlight and stuff, you need the show. That cost big money, so "we" get what we get.
Walleye fishing has to be more popular before whole sale change is going to ge made. If I were a sponsor and I could get all this "free" why would I want to pay the 200 people that fish walleye tournaments?
