How many have left Crestliner from last year? I know 2 (maybe 3) of the 5 who made it to the PWT Championship this year are already in other boats next year. What about the rest?

Can't speak for the others, but I am still there. Most of the changes had to do with motor brands I do beleive.
Jim,
Who has left? Who is leaving? You seem to be in the know?

Nothing has changed for me. I ordered my 202 Tournament Series and I will be at the Crestliner booths at the Minneapolis shows. Doc Samson

What about Fairburn, Franklin, Kehl and the rookie Kuzdal? I think the Plautz's are staying.

Kuzdzal is not on the pro staff. Go to www.crestliner.com and check out the list of pro staffers.

He was for 2006....

Does that mean he left? I heard they are dumping the TS Model after this year but left it in cause they had too many already built??

Not true. My boat was built from scratch just a few weeks ago. It is still in the line-up for a while.

At least somebody spelled my name right (thanks Insider)! Yes I fished for Crestliner last year and yes I was on their prostaff (at least that is what all the emails, the promo stuff at the
PWT championship and free gear they sent me said - I really did like the rain suits we got this year!- though the Mercury ones from Bismark were better - thanks Kevin L!!! (too bad the "Mercury" is upside down on both the pants and jacket!!)). Well, if anyone really cares, I AM NOT fishing out of a Crestliner next year. I had a good run in my rookie year and really loved the boat. Also, John J told me that there is and will be a prostaff and tech support next year. I decided to go a different route with an new boat for other reasons (read $$$-hopefully).
I hope Crestliner stays with it for a long time! They make great tourney boats and have excellent people working for them (thanks for all the help Myron and Kenny -I still owe you some OM Lights!!).
BTW - I will be fishing a Ranger 621 with an E-Tech next year.
Good luck all in the off season and thanks to all the pros, cos and ams who helped me actually break even this year!! See you next season!

Mike,
with the change to ranger and evinrude, does that mean you are jumping over to the FLW?

Looking at the stats...Mike fished one tour event, and the Michigan League/and League Champ. events this year. He wouldn't be new to the FLW.

Hey Juls and Eric - Hi! I have not set the schedule yet but I will fish the MI league again for sure. Had a great time and met some great people. We moved east this year so a lot of the far west tourneys are not feasible. It is over thirty hours one way to get to the Dakotas (and I did that three times last year!). I am much more comfortable (read - successful) in bigger water trolling tourneys, so I will be looking at those first. I did do one tour event last year (by accident) I was going to be a camera boat and somebody dropped out. Had one good day out of three, like golfing it was enough to keep me coming back. I am waiting to see what the PWT does. For me the east division would be the best, but the regionals allows me to fish only a couple if I want.
As far as going Ranger, I had a good opportunity since there is only one dealer in NY and he is nearby. I also would not complain about the contingency money :) but the real reason is the fact that I was extremely impressed with the boats. Saginaw Bay, Lake Erie and Escanaba were all rough water tourneys last year and the Rangers performed very well (blowing by me in some cases and I drive like a new yorker at happy hour)! I will miss my Verado though...we will see how the E-Tech holds up!

Hi Mike...welcome to New York, I'm assuming??
If I am not mistaking, you just moved to the Rochester area and just sold your 202 to a guy in Canada??

Yes and no...moved to Albany, but yes sold the boat in Canada. I am looking forward to going out with him on Erie next spring. And it is "welcome back" to NY, I grew up in Dunkirk.

Mike...I heard about your move here from Jane Bellamy at Silver Lake Marine. I'm buying a new Crestliner through them. I charter just west of Dunkirk at Barcelona.
What got you back to NY if you mind me asking?
Mid July the Amara Can torney goes out of Dunkirk, full field of 150 boats last year. MWC will be on the Niagara and Henderson. KAWA will hold 2 torneys on Kinzua and 1 on Chautauqua so we will have some torneys for you to fish.

Jane called me about someone looking at my boat because they were buying new but I had already sold it...probably was you. I had planned on working with them before my "change of boats". They seem like a great dealership, doubt I can do anything with them unless it is motor related. I am still unsure on motors though and may rethink to go back to Mercury. I love that Verado! I might be able to help you with the rigging of your TS though?
New job brought me back. I have a place in Dunkirk and keep my boats there but also live and work in Albany . I fish out of Dunkirk when I can, ussually go north or east, don't spend much time near Barcelona unless I am passing through to the wrecks out west of there. We should hook up.
I fished the Amer Can 2 years ago and finshed 7th...used my dad's boat and fished it with him and my brother. Would have been in second if we could have got a limit the first day, had the best bag (I think)the second day. Couldn't fish it this year cuz it conflicted. It is a great tourney and good for bragging rights with the charter guys. I will fish it this year.
