If Mille Lacs is too rough ?

Are there any other smaller lakes nearby if Mille Lacs is too rough on Saturday?

Try Farm Island or Rabbit just to the north.

you could try bay lake to the north up out of garrison on 18 then right on 6 about 5mi. there'salso round & bordan.

Borden Lake can be good, but so can a whole bunch of other smaller lakes in the Mille Lacs basin. You may get some of the area guides angry by calling attention to these "secret gems" fished by lots of folks who don't trust the big water of Mille Lacs in their small craft.
