2 Tournaments out of the causeway launch at the same time? This should be interesting.
The N.E.W.C will be launching there on Sun the 15th. They normally draw between 60 and 80 boats. Should be a great bite! Hope to see you all there.

Why schedule a tournament on the same day at the same launch? I was going to fish both. Why not make it Saturday? I guess I will fish the NEWC only.

Well we were going to fish both clubs but now both on the same day with the buckeye club weighing in at gander mountain and Tom Means circuit weighing in at the ramp, I don't see how it is going to be possible. I really don't agree with the decision to cancel the tournament this weekend, I understand it is going to be cold but welcome to the world of walleye tournament fishing. I feel bad for the guys who missed work and braved the cold temps the last couple of days to try and adapt to the cold front and find some fish. If we have to reschedule the tournament and it is going to be on the same date and ramp as the Tom Means tournament why not do the weigh in at the same location.? Maybe some guys would be able to support both circuits. This is just my opion, I'm not knocking the tournament directors because they are ones who put all the time in so we have to accept their decision. BUT I JUST WANT TO FISH!!

Just got home from work, and boy do I have a lot of messages.
I will change my plans for the morning, and try to get in touch with the bwc.
I would be happy to work together so to please every one.
I look at it this way, The glass is always half full. This will be a great way for everyone to enjoy each other and swap a lot of fish stories.

ps some have said they are finally able to pull up the web site, and some aren't. I am not sure why. It must still be stuck in cyberspace, thank you for being patient.
Pretty DUMB move to have it the same day as the NEWC.I would fished your tourny if it was saturday.I willing to bet at least 12 others would have also jumped in.Alot of the teams that fish Toms tourny's have fished the MWC extra entry's is not an issue,we are just lookin for a tournament to fish....REAL BAD MOVE.

It is unfortunate that the BWT changed their tournament to Sunday, the 15th. We, Team Hooked for Life, are fishing Tom's NEWC. We will be pre-fishing Saturday and would have considered fishing the BWT tournament if it had been held that day. We cannot understand why, if it was originally being held on a Saturday, it will now be on a Sunday.
We do not believe it is in the best interests in promoting tournament fishing to schedule a tournament on the SAME DAY and SAME LAKE as another tournament trail. It would have been great for both if they had been held on separate days as it could have boosted entries for both.
We assume that weather played a factor in the cancellation. Welcome to the wonderful world of Walley tournament fishing in the unpredicable northeast.

Guys lets not jump all over Jtide and the new BWT. Jtide might have tryed to make the tournament on saturday but he has to get permission from the state parks and from the causeway launch to have a tourny at those ramps. Ther may be bass tournaments going on saturday so those ramps are already in use. So lets not jump to conclusions. I as most of you would love to have one on saturday and one on sunday, but lets see what transpires this week. It would be great if we can enter both tournies for the one day. We have done that in the past. Just hold one big weigh in. You dont have to enter both, you can enter which circuit you want to. Its do able. Lets just wait and see what Jtide and Tom come up with.
If they cant come up with something that makes us all happy, we will just string them up and see if they can body ski behind the fastes boat ther....LOL..... Wait and see.

I just wanted to let every one know that I was able to talk with Justin last night.
I can tell you that he feels just as bad about this as the rest of us.
Justin is going to have to consult with the other directors as well as Gander moutntain before we can do anything.
I believe he will be just as happy to have the two events together as I am, if it works out, the more the marrier. Even if it doesn"t work out, there is plenty of room, they will be launching across the street at the bait shop.
I will say that there has been several people letting me know that they would love to enter his as well as ours.
No, there isn,t a problem with getting a ramp, or bass tourneys on sat, the other members have prior personal engagements.
I think Justin should be commended for postponing their event today. After talking to him he informed me that they have a $40.00 begginner division, and he was looking out for the new fisherman being so cold, he didn't want them to risk slipping of the dock etc.
I know we all fish our events in bad weather, but there's is just a fun cicuit event, no sense on risking something happening in his decision.
As soon as I know anything, I will be posting it hear.
Looking forward to putting faces with all the dozens of e-mails I have been receiving about fishing our event.
We will be holding a rules and registration meeting meeting sat evening, I am still working out the details.
This is not mandatory, you can sign up Sunday morning, but it will definetly make it easier on every one to have it done sat.
Please stop by and get all your fishing supplies from Linda at the Causeway bait shop,( tell her I sent you) she has been super to work
with for our event.

With this fine fisique of mine, I would be more like sea anchor, then a ski board, and I don't intend to be a substitute for an Aqua view.

Darn I was hoping to strap a camera on both of you and see where the big walleyes are in the lake...LOL...I hope you can come up with something, cause it will be a great event if you do. I didnt know that Justin had something going on with Gander Mountain as to sponsership. This is a new circuit, so I didnt think he had things quite rolling yet. The WRWA has had agreements with Gander for the last 5 or 6 years, and it has always been a good event. It would be nice to include your circuit with the BWT and have close to 90 to 100 teams at Gander Mountain. It would only help Gander out in the end I believe.
It never got out of the 20's today, so Iam glad they didnt have the tourny today. I work outside for a living in every type of weather, so it was nice not having to jig with my hands freezing. The launch would have been nice and icy, and I doubt it if any novice team would have shown up to fish in his smaller circuit. Only us knuckle headed diehard brainless fools would have fished today, and probably complained all day that Justin should have cancelled the tourny for the day. So good job Justin and hope things work out for all of us next weekend....Happy Easter to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a bass tournament out of the 305 state park on sunday? I know alot of guys were asking why we were useing the causeway bait shop ramp instead of the 305 state park ramp?
The weather channel extended forecast for next weekend is rain and low 50's.
How many boats is Tom's tournament expecting? What about entry fee's, memberships and payouts? I could not get on his website.
Try this, copied from another site.
http://neweasternwalleyecircuit.com/ it loads fine here. When I went to http://www.neweasternwalleyecircuit.com/
Yes there is supposed to be a big bass tourney at that ramp.
