I'm posting this again since the original seems to have dissapeared.
I just got a used Jiffy, and it seems to be using way to much gas and feels like it is bogging down. Someone had suggested it could be the fuel pump, and I posted the question as to where the fuel pump was located. Is it the diaphragm? What could be the problem?

It probably doesnt have a fuel pump. Its most likley gravity fed. Look for the fuel line running from the tank directly into the carb. How does the plug look? Is is black?
The original post by Malmo about Jiffy that you asked your questions on is on page 2. The post was not deleted.

No plug doesn't look black. The darn thing only drilled 5 holes before the tank was empty. And it does run kind of sluggish. As it ran out of gas,( leaned out), it really took off and dug like crazy. For a few seconds anyway.

I would clean that carb out. If you look back in the archives, I posted a bunch of tips to one guy about cleaning it out without messing things up. It was a few weeks ago, maybe. Let me know if you cant find it, I can give you a hand fixing the thing.

Thanks, I'm not used to the posts appearing so fast and moving everything off to the next page. Isn't anyone fishing today, or are they all here? LOL
It's actually a fuel pump diaphram on the fuel intake side of the carb. The diaphrams get old and sometimes split causing a huge use of fuel. The motor will still run but sluggish. As it runs out of fuel, the reduced flow causes a leaner condition making the motor run the way it should until it's finally our of fuel.
Other times, a cold motor will run better because the diaphram is stiff. As soon as the motor warms, the diaphram loosens up and the motor will run poorer from too much fuel flowing.
