View Full Version : My message board seems delayed?

I access WC at work on a computer, and also at home via Web TV. The message board always seems a day or two behind on web tv. Nobody I've talked with can figure it out, and it only seems to happen with WC. For instance I can access current weather, and forcasts, no problem, but if I access the General Discussion, or Boats & Motors its always older posts. I can go straight to work an access the boards on computer, and they are current, am I going nuts or what?

I've never used Web TV, but sometimes I have to hit reload on the PC to get the current posts. If you just hit the back button it probably goes to whatever is stored in your cache file.

If you are using Internet Explorer try the following:
1. Open up Internet Explorer
2. Click on Tools and then click on Internet Options (Assuming you are using IE 5.0 or higher)
3. Under temporary internet files, click on the Settings button
4. Make sure the option to check newer version of stored pages is set to "Every visit to the page"
See if this helps.

Every once and while I get that on AOL. I delete my "cookies" and that fixes it.

Check out how you have the "topics sorted by" (on the top of the message board) on the WebTV hook up. Make sure you have "last updated date/time" selected. It might be that simple.
