Does anyone have any info on running depths of lures on wire line, single strand or multistrand. I can't find it anywhere.

This is trial and error. Look at fish finder and find depth say it is 10 foot. Then run lure out until bottom is felt. Take that distance back and say for instance it dives 10 feet with 50 feet back.( so every 5 feet back it dives 1) Then find 20 foot of water and see how much it takes to touch bottom. Basically just try to find a few target depths and make your own charts its very easy. Use the common lures use fish with. This will at lest get you in the ball park then then spend time on the water.

Hey Ginamari, Hutch here or little lund. I don't have all my ducks in a row on this one YET. But by the time this season is over, that is in your water I will have a good chart to go by. Will tell you this much though. Fishing out of Ashtabula with wire line this past season, our best deal going for wire was 225 foot back off the horses with deep little rippers. We got fish as far back as 375 but good lord was it a pain bringing them in. I was running a 7 strand wire. I like it a lot better than the monel. The monel may run deeper but it's a pain in the ???? to work with. Take care and hopefully this season will be able to hook up and Hang A Wall Hanger. Hutch

I believe that Rick Lacourse did an article in the Walleye Insider.
It was a great article. I think he said 8ft wire, 1ft deep. I'll look for the article. Grand river tackle, in Ohio, they got me started 14 yrs ago when I was 17.
